Pros
Since transferring from a rival company, I have been treated with the kind of respect that was previously lacking in terms of listening to my views and allowing some of my ideas to be implemented. My managers always encourage discussion and to push back if we think there is a better way of doing something. They have amassed a great level of talent in this department now with us all coming from different companies and we all seem to be in agreement that TVT are the ones not cutting corners and doing their utmost to have values that they can actually live up to, not just some empty buzzwords that look nice on a PowerPoint presentation. They also allow homeworking and flexible hours, which is amazingly practical in such a job like ours where we do live and pre-recorded broadcast subtitling.
Cons
Access services has always been a competitive market since I came to work in this field so there are some targets which may push people quite hard, but I wouldn't call this a con necessarily as you are supported to reach those targets. Some may argue the homeworking aspect can be isolating but that hasn't been my experience with the amount of Skyping we do.
