Pros
Fun work events, great people on the individual contributor level, strong leadership on team and executive levels. Strong US content policy team with great leadership and understanding of the nuance that is involved in what should and shouldn't be put in front of users. Benefits are good and the facilities are great. Adam is a friendly, talented, and smart CEO.
Cons
Wages far below industry standard, limited growth paths for most roles, falsely claimed 'flat hierarchy' is actually an eggshell ridden political mess, huge technical debt. Favoritism is a huge issue here, newer employees may find it very difficult or impossible to advance into the roles they're best suited for and the company is very stingy with wages despite the massive revenue numbers that are boasted. While executive leaders have good ideology, this does not seem to trickle down. The HR team is friendly and wants to help, but their influence is not where it should be in terms of checks and balances. Particular employees have worked odd and varying hours for years are still working for their starting (hourly) wage - their compensation has not even matched inflation.
