Pros
- There are some really great individuals and team leaders here across all departments. - Great VPs/team leads who can hopefully continue creating more structure and processes, and look out for their team. - There is a need in the call-center market for better technology
Cons
- CEO is ego-driven, thinks himself visionary, and lacks empathy. The company is continuing to deviate from building out its core product and is solely concerned about what seems sexy (Platform! Dreamforce! AI!). Pure strategy without any understanding of execution or the importance of a positive culture, which is hurting employee morale and overall productivity. - Unfortunately, the business and technical teams are very siloed due to physical distance, which results in business people finger pointing when there are product issues and unresolved bugs. Have heard of business side talking down about the engineers who they've never met, when the core problem is lack of structure, prioritization, and communication by leadership on what the vision is. Deadlines are set without consulting lower-level employees about technical and operational difficulties. - Many hiring decisions are dictated almost entirely by the C-suite, and they are weirdly selective about which teams to micromanage. No communication channels to individuals who will be affected by new hires on their team. - Lack of transparency. I've never heard leadership present on an overarching mission statement, company values, broader business goal setting, update on financials or company wide KPIs, etc. They always beat around the bush when fielding questions at our laughable All Hands. - Frugal to an extreme. Keep operational costs low with below-market salaries, no equity to Portugal team, delaying payments to vendors, not flying out individuals to PT or SF, promotions with no pay raises, etc. - Entire teams turnover. Have heard about or seen it with finance, marketing, success, now product. Leadership doesn't care about keeping talented people or listening to their concerns. When teams don't deliver on whatever crackshot ideas and deadlines are set by leadership, they oftentimes finger point and blame teams/individuals rather than turning a critical eye at at themselves. - Get depressed when you read Glassdoor reviews from a year ago and see that all the complaints today are literally the same and have been brought up before
