Pros
TGH I.T. is largely a very open, collaborative department that fosters teamwork. The CIO and CMIO have changed while I've been here, and that's been a good thing. The team I'm currently on is possibly the best workgroup I've ever had the privilege of working with. Pay and vacation time is good, benefits are good, not great. My time here hasn't been all sunshine and roses, but the majority has been decent.
Cons
That said, different teams within I.T. have vastly different ideas of what "teamwork" and "communication" mean. There are still members of management who are snakes, and will not hesitate to ruin your life if you don't want the same things they want. Several of this type of management have left TGH and made the dept. a better place for it.
