Pros

No pros. Sinking ship since the day I started

Cons

So. Many. Negatives. I think any recent positive reviews are fake and you should run. As one of Tandyms top performers, I was doing really well in a really horrible toxic environment and I'm still telling you to run and find another company to join because this place is terrible. Tandym leadership has no authority and the company is run by a private equity company that has no idea how staffing works. The only way to make money here is from commission and it's no coincidence that they will NOT provide you with accurate tracking of your commissions, what you're owed, what you've been paid, etc. They're sketchy about it for a reason and it's because the company is stealing money from your commissions. Every single commission check is incorrect and you have to spend hours doublechecking what you're owed and what you're missing. Then if you can get someone to finally meet with you to discuss it, after a lot of hoops, they may just pay you what you're owed in your next commission check (only if you continue to follow up with them and keep on it). But that commission check will be incorrect as well and you'll have to do it all over again. Commission structure changed every year I worked there. Employee agreements changed twice and were more strict every time. Contractor sick time is supposed to be split by sales, recruiter, and company. You are paying for their sick time 100% from your commission and ironically enough, so is the recruiter on your team..... explain to me how we're each deducted 100% of the sick time pay. Tandym can't explain it and won't. The executive leadership team and private equity firm are all about micromanaging. You had to be logged into their system, Bullhorn, right on the dot every single day and they track your activity throughout the day. Bullhorn would show if you didn't do something in the system for say 20 minutes - then you were questioned... what were you doing? There's plenty of work that needs to be done outside of the system so it is ridiculous. There is no flexibility and we were reminded every week to be aware that these things were being watched by the CEO & tracked and if we didn't have a reason for being "idle" that was OKed by management, it wasn't okay and the CEO was looking. There are no exceptions for how you're treated and how you're micromanaged. I was a top performer every year and won contests and this was still the most toxic work environment. Speaking of being a top performer, the only "incentive" for exceeding your goals and being the top performer is the chairman's circle trip which one year they cancelled and never provided anything to the winners. They just ignored it. They are constantly changing your metrics, goals, report information, and the only thing that stayed constant in my 3+ years there were the nonstop layoffs. It felt like every week we received a company wide email that this person in leadership was let go. Same thing for your teams recruiters and salespeople. You're all disposable and Tandym makes sure you don't forget it. During another time consuming internal meeting to discuss more upcoming changes, we were told to either get on the bus and ride with the changes or get off the bus. You won't be kept at Tandym if you're not onboard. I had 4 separate reports due every week to show recents sales and projected sales. We track all of this in Bullhorn and leadership had access to pull the data but instead they make you do these time consuming manual reports. It's waste of time and interferes with doing your actual job. They just add more obstacles to succeed. My week was always packed with internal meetings to discuss the manual reports and what new reports they'd be adding to our plate that week. Fought for a promotion? Don’t expect a salary increase with it. More responsibilities added to your plate? Don’t expect a salary increase with it. The back office is a disaster! They would go years without collecting invoices from clients and never following up with them for payment to all of a sudden asking YOU to reach out to a client from 2020 about an unpaid invoice. Excited that you AT LEAST have Summer Fridays and can stop work at 12? Don’t be fooled. Once you're employed, they let you know that it's actually up to the executive team if you'll be allowed to take summer Fridays and you won't find out until last minute. This all will depend on the company performance and whether the company is on track to hit their target. Even if they are, or your team is at least, you most likely still won't be able to take off early and don’t forget... they're watching every single thing you do in Bullhorn. Excited about the unlimited PTO? You do not have unlimited PTO. Taking any time is frowned upon. They changed this policy to unlimited because you're more inclined to use up the two weeks of vacation if you're going to lose it at the end of the year and you've accrued it. Nothing they do is by coincidence or for your benefit. This is a slimy place to work.
