On the surface, diversity was touted as a priority, but in reality, it felt like a mere facade, lacking a sincere dedication to true inclusion. Underrepresented voices were seldom given a chance to be heard, and the few opportunities that did arise often felt tokenistic at best. It was soul-eating to witness the delusional belief within the higher echelons of management that a couple of diversity workshops would magically solve the deeply rooted issues. The lack of genuine commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment was palpable, and it left me with a profound sense of despise for a company that claimed to prioritize diversity but failed to back it up with meaningful actions.
