Pros

The people. Ability to WFH.

Cons

Everything else. Pay is below market. Benefits are just okay. CEO and COO are a couple who have no experience operating as executives and it’s obvious. Go ahead, Google them. Lack of transparency at all levels of the business. No willingness to invest in their current employees. Everyone is replaceable, yet there is an expectation that you must be willing to sacrifice your personal life and mental health for the success of the company. No reciprocation, only taking on the owners behalf. Average tenure is probably around 6 months. They burn bridges upon separation. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Pros

TapCheck provided a balance with its hybrid structure and a well-designed modern office space.

Cons

The management style was a challenge. The constant check in’s when you go to lunch when you get in the morning & when you leave for the day. EVERY single DAY in the teams chat. I shouldn't have to do that if im already clocking in. Expectation for training was quite aggressive, especially with how many systems they use. I felt under pressure when my progress didn’t meet those expectations. Additionally, the training process was still developing, which is understandable given the company is a startup. Furthermore, the orientation was somewhat excessive, camera had to be on at all times during orientation. Also during the training which made it hard to focus. Overstimulating in other words. My manager was nice at first but as days went on her mask started to slip and there were times she was a bit passive aggressive with training.
