Pros

-bright, colorful, and modern workspaces -free food

Cons

-the culture is touted as "people first" or "frontline first," but in the end, the company values its people last. -work life balance was horrendous. Many members of leadership (myself included) were asked/expected to work 60+ hours/week OFF-THE-CLOCK -Human Resources does not value or communicate your needs/follow-up with you, or work towards progress -there is a huge difference in pay from management to employees, and taskus is one of the most expensive BPO's, yet still pays their employees among the lowest salaries in the industry

TaskUs Response

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Working off the clock is extremely unacceptable and I can't imagine what would cause that to happen. Additionally, we look at market data and pay fairly, if not above average. I'm so sorry you had a negative experience. If you have specific feedback for me that can help me address this issue, please feel free to reach out at bryce@taskus.com.

Pros

Loved the LXL management chain. Supportive, fun, progress-minded. The company as a whole was okay, but the department I was with made it amazing. Lots of opportunities to develop skills. Absolutely incredible visibility for diversity, which is celebrated and respected without hesitation.

Cons

Very high demand. Can be very challenging to learn how to balance work and breathing room without falling behind. Many other departments were quick to blame the LXL department in front of highly regarded stakeholders for failures that were not of our own. Pay also changes depending on the client you work with. My client was the highest paying client at the time I was employed. The LXLs working for the branch-off of work from my client were paid much more than I due to the intensity of the work. My pay was considered the cap for where I was, and getting a raise that was not just a few pennies was not going to happen. Moving up is possible but limited. Due to this company being a BPO, if the client no longer needs our work, we are liable to be laid off. Employees are not contracted, but TaskUs is contracted to the client. Layoffs are a possibility, be it near or far. I was laid off after 4 years and saw many waves of many sizes laid off while there.
