Pros

Since this company is not a big company with little upto 1000 employees, you would get recognized for good work you do at the start of your career and grow to certain level. Work life balance depends on how you manage your work. Also the upper management people sometimes go beyond call of duty and help in terms of Visa, leaves and salary advance.

Cons

-Once you go onsite you would be completely neglected. - L&D team is almost non-existent.If you want to learn and improve you skill then there is no help from the company whatsoever. Sad part is the managers also don't discuss about it or don't entertain if peers discuss on those lines. - Old people are quitting as they are feeling no more valued. - The worst part is any skill be it new or old if a person knows is not valued unless it brings them billing. - Forget about promotion and project change as the offshore manager never bothers to know what you are good at and looking forward to in terms career development.

Tavant Response
6y
Tavant has a large onsite team at various customer locations and they are all managed directly by an onsite manager in most cases. At regular intervals HR collects employee feedback and specific concerns are addressed. There is a lot of focus on learning & development. In additional to trainings being conducted based on the needs collected from employees, Tavant has partnership with several online content providers for training topics across the spectrum. Certifications are encouraged by the organisation and sponsored. In limited cases, long term courses are sponsored too. Additionally participation in seminars, conferences, opportunities to present papers at conferences etc. are encouraged and paid for by the company. Every employee (current or past; old or new) is critical and important to the organisation and receive the same amount of respect. An organisation is made through the values brought forward by different employees. Tavant has several people who have remained with it for a long time and continue to contribute with passion. Many employees have returned to Tavant, after working elsewhere for a brief period of time citing culture, people focus and quality of work as the main reasons for the return

Pros

Some good people/employees. Hybrid work.

Cons

Lack of diversity. There has never been a female on the homogenous executive team, with most members of the executive team having been with Tavant for 10+ yrs in that role. Commission - Never paid. Management uses "Management discretion" to keep your sales commission down so they (the division president) can allot more of that bonus pool to themselves. It used to be more fun at Tavant, events were engaging, but that all ended when the marketing guy left. New person is a bland in terms of how Tavant was selling its offerings. Great place to sit around and work. No upward mobility. Maybe would have upward mobility if you moved to the big office in Bangalore
