Pros

I absolutely love my job here! It is more like family oriented than corporate. I started my career here when it was Morrison homes way back, loved it there as they took me with No experience, trained me and I went to the top of my position! They left Jacksonville after a while. When they merged and became TaylorMorrison I came back and stayed when they came back to the Jacksonville market. Sheryl Palmer [CEO] is an amazing person and not what you would expect from a CEO of her stature! She visits us [and all divisions] and knows most of our names and acts just like one of us, cares, listens, laughs and is a joy to be around! Such a Great leader! I won the "HERO" award 3 years in a row and probably will again this year, which includes a trip, formal award ceremony and of course bonus. The pay is great including quarterly bonus, paid time off, applause points, stock options and it feels Great to be recognized for my accomplishments no matter how great or small. The culture in my division is Family like. Everyone here has each others backs, help each other, step in when needed, personal support and I could go on and on. I am retiring this January and will miss the comradery here. If you are looking for a job in the homebuilding industry this is the number one place to work!

Cons

NONE! I cant think of anything I would change!

Pros

Good benefits and decent pay

Cons

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
