Pros

The best part about working here is the holiday break between Christmas and New Years

Cons

No growth opportunities, lack of training or advancement for your job, management is over paid and does not care about employees, HR employee relations team will not help with any problems or concerns you have, friends of employees will take your job

Thank you for your candid feedback. Of course, this breaks our hearts to read. We don't want any employee to leave us with these impressions of Taylor Morrison or our culture. Recently, we've been awarded Top Companies / Best Places to Work in a few of our larger markets -- namely Phoenix and Orlando -- and we couldn't be more proud to receive such honorable recognition. We do believe the break given to employees between Christmas and New Years is a terrific benefit, and it's certainly not the only one we provide. In regards to growth and advancement, our People Services team is continuing their work to elevate our training and professional development platforms -- and we're excited with the progress so far! Fantastic culture, experienced team members, fun place to work, even in a down market.

Total compensation can be better, change of insurance not great, unable to use all PTO due to work schedule.

Cons

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
