Pros

I'm a 33 year veteran of the homebuilding business and have never found a more embracing, positive culture than at Taylor Morrison, Other homebuilders have given the term lip service, or practiced a bottom up culture, but no where have I found a more consistent top-down culture than here, at Taylor Morrison. It is embraced by the CEO of the company and flourishes at every level of the company. Taylor Morrison really is the best place I've worked!

Cons

Explosive growth within the company has been its greatest challenge and maintaining its familial culture while hitting the financial metrics, no small achievement. Let's stay the course as we continue to grow and not allow our culture to diminish as we continue to grow.

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
