Pros

Employees are provided autonomy and flexibility to bring their ideas to the table and feel like their opinion is valued. There is a strong sense of corporate vision where we are all rowing in the same direction.

Cons

This is more an industry con versus a Taylor Morrison con, but a highly cyclical industry provides higher stress over workload and job security.

Homebuilding is considered cyclical however we do our best to always be prepared for ups and downs. We appreciate you being here with us through the ups and downs.

Good benefits and decent pay

Cons

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
