Pros

Work with some good co-workers (not management). Work remotely.

Cons

Culture - immoral company, they say they care but they don't. Meetings - Almost everyday via Teams. Underwriting - They don't know guidelines. Even though it's written in black and white, they have a lot of over-lays. This will cause delays on about 90% of your closings and they still expect you to have amazing surveys. Rates - Worse rates in the industry. They have substantially different rates in CA than the rest of the nation; sometimes by a full percentage. Management - All of them only care about CYA. Pay - They keep screwing you on your commissions, and you are on a draw. I didn't think that was legal in CA. No work/life balance - Because you work remotely, you're tied to your phone and managers expect you to pick up calls/respond to emails even when you're on vacation.

Good benefits and decent pay

Cons

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
