Pros

Pay is decent, but should be more for the stress and workload you’re required to take on. Schedule is Mon-Friday.

Cons

Where to start. No training, expected to start running. Multiple weekly meetings and more added to your plate to do after each meeting. No consistency. Homes that have many issues at closing you’re now stuck with because they intentionally pass it on to warranty (homeowners tell us). You’re basically a builder too from all the repairs you have to make. Management has their favorites and hire friends and family, you’ll know who they areby what they get away with. Atmosphere is toxic and stressful. I feel like you’re set up to fail, too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

Pros

Good benefits and decent pay

Cons

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
