5yThank you for your feedback.
Your positive points about our people and culture is the heart of our family so we thank you for your note. We do recognize that this past year has been rather challenging for many people and businesses around the world so we take any feedback, positive or negative very seriously and use it to look for ways to improve.
When it comes to our business, we are committed to being the best in our industry while putting our people at the forefront at all times. While these unprecedented times may have impacted our initial business plans over a year ago, we have been able to rebound, continue to grow all teams further by hiring new talent across all levels and departments while keeping DE&I at the forefront.
We recently launched our first semi-blind hiring process to mitigate unconscious bias and hired 4 candidates as a result, joining us in mid-March and we will soon test an integration with Career Place, who will help us find the best candidates through anonymous and non-bias candidate screening. Also, while you may feel that our North American Leadership team is not diverse, in terms of gender it is an even split 50/50 and of which 2 fall within the BIPOC group.
More recently, we’ve been able to promote within and of the 38 promotions, 55% were female which is also the same % gender make-up across the population within North America so I hope these statistics give you more clarity about our culture continues to celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion when it comes to not only gender but also with race and cultural backgrounds and hiring new and diverse talent across the board.
