Poor communication - communication from the top comes in drip form, limited structure or clarity, even tone deaf at times. Gas lighting expectations - often times they communicate one thing and do the other. Large scale example, at the beginning of the year it was confirmed over numerous occasions that there wouldn't be redundancies this year, then in at least 3 separate instances (in the first half of 2023) people on mass were let go. Their response to this "it wasn't a lay off... it was a reorg". Low morale - after the last big cull of staff (approx 10%) the morale was low and the sense of future doom ever present. The leadership response... create a bingo chart of company big wins with a mysterious prize at the end of the year. But then they enforce additional days in the office, cancel summer parties and add additional work tasks not in your remit due to these recent redundancies.
