Pros

-Benefits are great! PTO, health insurance, 401k and stock purchase plan. -Pay is competitive. Overtime is allowed during certain times -Ability to work from home to cut down on in office time. -Really feel as though my boss expects my family to come first, no questions asked. Such a big difference from other companies I have worked for. I have never had as good of a boss as I do now. She is tough and expects the job done on time and right but never comes across as cold and uncaring. -Job is challenging but training was so thorough I feel as though I can do it with no issues.

Cons

From what I have heard, raises are not very healthy and are not based on your work or an annual review. Everyone gets it. *This is based on hearsay and may not be true. Must dress professionally even though I have yet to meet a client or bigwig. Jeans should be allowed, in my opinion.

Pros

I’ve had a very positive experience working at TeamHealth. The organization truly prioritizes both its patients and its employees, which creates a strong sense of purpose in the work we do every day. One of the standout aspects is the collaborative and supportive culture. Leadership is approachable, communicative, and invested in helping teams succeed. There’s a genuine focus on continuous improvement, and employees are encouraged to share ideas and be part of driving change. TeamHealth also offers strong opportunities for growth and development. Whether it’s through formal programs or on-the-job learning, there’s a clear commitment to helping employees advance their careers. The company does a great job recognizing contributions and fostering a sense of belonging across teams. Pros: Supportive and engaged leadership Collaborative, team-oriented culture Opportunities for career growth and development Meaningful work that impacts patient care

Cons

Like many growing organizations, processes can evolve quickly, which requires adaptability

Pros

Staffed the ER’s at Advent, which is a massive hospital with lots of resources and support. Hourly pay was competitive (little/no bonus pay though - not on par with other local companies).

Cons

Too much cutting or changing APC hours and shifts last minute based on “predicted volume” - which is a staffing model that never works! Budget cuts shouldn’t come from safe staffing. APCs keep departments running! Stop taking that for granted and keep scheduling consistent. They also don’t seem to care about losing good APC’s. They’ll just hire new grads to replace you. Too many arbitrary rules on physician oversight/practice guidelines without clear parameters. Every campus uses their APCs differently, which is confusing.
