      I've gotten a lot of opportunities at Tektronix to take ownership of projects and delve into functions that are not necessarily tied to my job description

      Cons

      There doesn't seem to be any coherent strategy for the company. I don't see any real innovation - just cost cutting

      Pros

      Extremely smart engineers in Oregon, generally has a decent culture, invincible brand name

      Cons

      Company profit isn't being reinvested into itself, parent company controls all profit. This can be seen in lack of NPIs.
