Pros

Diverse staff, you could actually see diverse sizes/shapes/ages/appearances on site. (Usually at hightech, you only see under 40yrs old, pretty-people, whites & asians, but with zero life experience, or any ability to design usable products for regular people. ) Product is nice and solid, built to last. Hidden Secret: Gorgeous grounds, great place to jog around, nice cafeteria, easy access to electric mass-transit, fabulous parking.

Cons

Lack of quality metrics on staff productivity, this would weed out of lot of waste & stagnators, and retain the talented. I saw people ridiculously gaming the current metrics system to look busy, run production costs up, while truly talented and productive were laid-off. Manager oversight non-existent, too busy flying around the world delivering powerpoints instead of video-chat, being horrific amateur process-engineering bullies/witchhunters, or recruiting & hobnobbing "cool-accents" people without skills. *Huge dark buildings. *Workout Center only open to permanent employees (a teamwork killer), looked mostly empty most of the time. Should work harder to woo all others, all shapes/sizes, and make it unembarrassing to them. *No process engineering led by pros in that field

Pros

Extremely smart engineers in Oregon, generally has a decent culture, invincible brand name

Cons

Company profit isn't being reinvested into itself, parent company controls all profit. This can be seen in lack of NPIs.
