Pros

- Telehealth is obviously the future and Teladoc is the major player in the industry.

Cons

This review is written by a former R&D employee who came over as part of the Livongo acquisition. Livongo was a great company, with solid executive leadership and I was proud to be part of that team and mission. Following our acquisition by Teladoc, it was clear that this isn't the place for me (or many of us) anymore. Livongo executive leadership is completely gone and we are left as part of a gross, corporate behemoth with a toxic and substandard company culture (and a continually declining stock price). - Leadership: I have very little faith in R&D leadership, Livongo was acquired for $18B because of our technology, yet all of our R&D leaders and key contributors are leaving. Something doesn't add up. - Culture: the company culture is just downright awful. While there have been a few warning signs beforehand, I felt our company culture shift overnight after the merger. Members from Livongo executive leadership are leaving one after another and empty messages from those remaining to "protect the culture" are going unanswered. I would not recommend that people join this company based on this culture deterioration alone.

Pros

This is a real, mission-driven company. I think the best thing is the people - across functions, at every level, you encounter people who are sharp, collaborative, and kind. When you work somewhere whose core purpose is making healthcare more accessible to more people, it makes the work better, even on hard days. Teladoc has been through a rocky couple years (as has industry), but recently it seems like the strategy is clearer, the org is better aligned, and the leadership is more focused. Chuck is a transparent and visible leader (eg town halls, all employee email/memos) and genuinely seems like exactly the right person we need in the seat right now. I appreciate that when there's hard news, it's delivered with context, and when there's good news, it's connected to the stategy (and doesn't feel phony). Benefits are pretty decent. I like that they do gym reimbursement, and free BetterHelp (which is owned by Teladoc).

Cons

There have been tough moments (reorgs, market pressure, strategic pivots) and the pace of change has been hard (likely similar to others in industry), but I appreciate that though all that it seems like management has made a real effort to do right by employees, and be transparent.

Pros

People are nice in most of the teams. Decent benefits and time off. No micromanagement.

Cons

Mass layoffs. Management hires from India and Argentina and terminates long-term US employees. Only higher management gets their bonuses. The rest are not worthy enough. No salary increase either beyond what they legally have to give. Haven't seen a single stock distribution for a few years.
