Pros

Acedemic rigor and community, great fringe benefits, schoiol pride from improvements over the years and great sport teams (yes football is coming back), full curricullam -- Most of all once you are in the Temple family you are really in the family and can count on your peers to support you.

Cons

Dependency on State funds curb the school's freedom

Pros

Beautiful, clean, and conveniently located campus. Great food trucks! Lots of space to go for a walk and clear your head or sit on a bench and look at some trees. Nice benefits.

Cons

Temple is very large and very siloed, so if you work in one department, don't expect to be able to move more easily to another part of the school than you would if you were just a random unknown applicant. Once you start working it will be clear which people there genuinely care about the school and passionately work to make it better, and which once just clock in and clock out and won't do a single thing that's not listed in their official job description. But that's bureaucracy for you!
