Pros
-Purposeful Work: Contributed to a mission-driven organization focused on student success. -Inspiring Impact: Engaged with prospective students and made a meaningful impact on their futures. -Positive Connections: Built valuable relationships with colleagues and stakeholders during the first year. ***Please note this review is strictly for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This does NOT reflect Temple as a whole. Temple is a great place, but offices are only as strong and healthy as their leaders.
Cons
-Toxic Work Environment: Experienced unprofessional behavior that created a hostile atmosphere. -Derogatory Language: Witnessed instances of disrespectful communication from supervisors that undermined team morale. -Negative Impact on Well-being: The stressful environment affected mental and physical health, leading to the decision to resign. -High Quotas without Compensation: Travel expectations increased dramatically from approximately 70 trips per year to 200 in the Fall, with no corresponding increase in compensation. When inquiring about pay, the response was the "honor of legacy and participation in industry-leading work,' which is tone deaf and troubling to hear from a supervisor.
