Pros
You'll find there are many smart, very accomplished people on your team and those around you. It's exciting to be surrounded by others who share a passion for advancing healthcare. Tempus is also a place where things move fast (which can be both good and bad) and you have a chance to learn and get thrown into different situations very quickly.
Cons
While the people are great and the mission's admirable, the culture really lacks. As others have noted, compensation is significantly below market and raises, when they come, fall well short of what you would receive elsewhere. Tempus has also grown very quickly and without real interest in developing the right tools to support at scale, which often lead to significant confusion, frustration, and burnout. As a result, turnover and feeling valued has been a real issue. Leadership, has largely shrugged this off and dismissed it as a by-product of being at a growing company. My advice: if you're looking for a first job where you can learn the ropes, this is a great place. But do your homework and ask the tough questions before signing up, otherwise.
