This company does not value or support nursing leadership. Leadership at the home office is highly critical and unappreciative of nursing leaders although they have never worked in hospital operations and cannot appreciate the role of nursing leaders. No resources allocated for nursing education or development. Complete lack of emotional intelligence by home office leaders. Advancement is reserved for those who have worked for McKinsey or HCA. They require a distribution of performance ratings at the director level and above that does not permit appropriate rating of the team. You must hit the percentages or they will randomly move people to a lower level of performance. They some how believe this will motivate people to work harder. It is motivating execs to leave.
