Pros
Only one is gratification of helping someone who needs your service to get rid of a problem. Might as well go volunteer somewhere because Terminix ain’t paying.
Cons
10hour days with hardly time for lunch break. 6 day workweek regularly. Terminix will never ask if your available to work late or on Saturday, they will just put appointments on you and expect that you want to work 80 hours a week. You have to sell 20k a month before receiving any commissions which is extremely hard most of the year. Then instead of letting you go out and try to sell, they want you to spend hours in meetings, hours tracking and filling out reports, excessive amounts of time discussing safety, and a constant barrage of calls, emails, and texts all day long interrupting your day. Even a master of time management can’t manage a day in this life. They certainly don’t care if you ever spend time with your family. And forget about ever trying to have any evening or weekend routines outside of Terminix because they think you belong to them 24/7. Oh and they don’t pay overtime because they label every position as commission or performance based, therefore they do not have to.
