Pros

There are no pros. If I could give zero stars I would

Cons

I have worked in and around construction for over twenty years for different companies and this was by far the worst company I have ever worked for. They claim they are all about safety and they value there employees, but that can not be farther from the truth. I was constantly put in situations that put my life and health at risk. When I did get hurt on the job, they purposely didn't report it to workman's comp so it wouldn't raise there insurance rate because they had an employee that got ran over by a drill rig and killed. The lack of training offered to new employees almost guarantees this won't be the last person that gets killed working for this company. They only care about their bottom line. After Covid, and right before the holidays.they fired long term employees company wide because all they care about is money. There is no communication between management and employees. There is zero work life balance. They have garbage equipment and don't supply workers the tools they need to do their job. They are a big enough corporation that they can get away with anything and there is nothing you can do to when they decide they someone gone. Worst life decision I ever made was the day I decided to uproot my family to work for Terracon.

Pros

You have sustainable hours for construction but there is mandatory overtime (The most I’ve done is 51 hours in a week), they pay you enough to live on, it’s good experience, upper management pays lip service to workers rights, there is genuine concern and regulation from management to provide you an emotionally and physically safe place to work, you’re never really rushed to do your job, and you do have the right to stop work

Cons

You need a degree in engineering or geology to move up and you have to threaten to move offices or take another job to get a pay raise. It’s not unionized.
