After leaving Texas Children’s, I found out how much all the executives make. All I had to do was google IRS Form 990, and there it was. What type of non-profit organization makes these types of salaries. The highest executive made $5,537,106 in one year, and of that money, $2,685,500 was his annual bonus, insane!! In the meantime, the people that are at the bedside are getting a 1% annual incentive (AIP) barely. Other executives are making $1,196,271 to $2,426,581. Leadership continues to treat the staff terribly, obviously because they are so worried about receiving those crazy annual bonuses. Unfortunately, I am no longer with this organization; there is some great staff working every day to care for the patients. It’s time for you to hold the leadership accountable at this hospital, and for you to be paid and treated better. I’m now working for a hospital that has a union, and how much better it is. The SEIU is the union that represents us, and I am treated better, receive better wages and benefits. Here is a link to show you how to organize a union at Texas Children’s.
