Pros

Pretty cool company I guess, I have a bad taste in my mouth for the current store I am working in. 40% discount is nice if you can afford the product you're looking to purchase.

Cons

There are a bunch. Management is a joke, they are constantly degrading employees, threatening to fire associates on the sales floor, if you're not in the "in" group, they talk smack about you constantly. They will do returns under your numbers to be Petty, and to lower your commission rate, as well as ring sales up under you that are small so your numbers remain low for the week when you get your "report card". As an LIT, if you have an idea or something you want to push, they will tell you, "it's not the buckle way" and shoot you down, Everytime. They don't value alternative ways of thinking or selling, and if you're not posting good numbers they will find a reason to fire you. Elaborating on that, they will write you up for things that management does, being the most hippocritical store I have ever worked for.

Pros

-Good work-life balance. -Team-building is encouraged. -The experience can vary by location. -Buckle has the potential to have some of the best retail teams, depending on the store. -There are opportunities for growth and career advancement for employees who have supportive leadership.

Cons

Management's willingness to lead, communicate effectively, and support employees is what creates opportunities for growth, but that was not my experience at this location. I felt the work environment was negatively affected by inconsistent communication, a leadership style that felt overly controlling, and discussions about employees that appeared to undermine teamwork and trust. I believe a more respectful, supportive, and collaborative approach to leadership would create a healthier workplace culture and better support both employees and the overall success of the store.
