Working at cake bake was my first ever job back in 2018 when i was 15. It was the most fun i ever had. the managers loved me and i loved them, i didn’t take that job seriously at all. i didn’t need the money, i just did it for something to do after school. i eventually quit when covid started and it shut down. i ended up going back recently in late 2023 or early 2024, i can’t remember. i was super excited to see some old friendly faces and some new ones. but boy, i should have run the other way. management was all over the place. they were the BIGGEST hypocrites you’d ever meet. all of them were trying to make it to disney. being a host, we were ALWAYS u restarted, and i was out of high school and not in college so i could work full time. na do was the only full time employee. so when i got sick, and called off, there was no one to cover me. which meant a manager had to actually work. things got so bad i went to HR, and that same day i was basically told, quit, or you’re fired. now there is more to the story, but you get the point. don’t do it just for the dresses and the cake, it’s not even that good.
