Pros

PTO and benefits start day 1

Cons

EVERYTHING IS MICROMANAGED You're expected to be at your desk at all times and your breaks are preplanned. Any unscheduled PTO is an occurence. I got bronchitis with a doctor's note, no voice, available PTO and was told still an occurence. Zero work-life balance. My mental and physical health health was declining. The call coaching was so nit picking. They will find things to eliminate your chance of switching shifts or positions. Everything is recorded. Inclement weather doesn't matter to them they never close. Also state emergency weather still an occurence. The 1030 to 7pm position is ridiculous. You're phone is dead after 515pm and you wish to go home. The will glamorize career opportunities that don't exist. You will get denied to even apply. This job killed my drive and spirit. Not the best insurance for employees which makes 0 sense as an insurance company.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
