Pros

HealthSpring has been continuously been focused on their customers to provide the best level of service. They also balance this focus with challenging their employees to be great. They provide excellent tools for career growth and all the management levels continuously encourage you to provide feedback for their work. The evaluations are intense but this is something that has been great for me because I love to know how I can improve rather than no feedback. I enjoy the challenge from the industry as well as the individual challenge to improve.

Cons

During peak seasons, their can be difficulties with managing work loads.

Pros

Great health benefits, access to multiple voluntary benefits including pet insurance, car insurance, and renters insurance and the premiums are deducted from payroll. Cigna offers health insurance premiums based on the income they pay you, there is an EAP that allows for 10 free counseling sessions, education benefits through Guild, pto based on career level, company provided computer equipment to work from home, Cigna will pay for a separate internet service just for work, and the work culture is inclusive.

Cons

Inadequate pay for the amount of work you do, stingy merit based raises each year, the performance metrics and policies that are difficult to comply with, because some policies and procedures contradict. Job training did not sufficiently prepare me for the added stress from taking back to back calls while servicing 10+ clients including Medicare D. There was not always enough pharmacists and patient care technicians to answer transfer calls timely. We have to wait on hold 20+ minutes for a mandatory transfers, then have to justify having excessive hold times to eMOS.
