Pros

Great brands in the portfolio. Many of the worlds leading soft drink brands under one roof. Market leader in Japan for many years. Finally get back on track and growing market share. Nice location in a central part of Tokyo. Places to eat are not far and commuting is not difficult. Respected company among the marketing community. Paired with P&G, probably the top two places to have on your resume as a marketer in Japan. Furthermore, one of the most important markets to work for as a expat traveling the globe. Responsible for a sizable portion of the global profits.

Cons

Work hours are without a doubt the number one problem at this company. Anyone will tell you this, even if they don't work at Coke. This is so famous that taxi drivers all know there will be a surefare if they wait outside of Coca-Cola after midnight. The lights are always on 24-7. Lack of diversity is tough. Although there are often non-Japanese in the office for short stints, they come and go and the company keeps on moving without making big changes. Still a very Japanese company and will likely stay that way. Slow corporate pace is something that irritates staff and also hurts productivity in the office and sales out of the office. Decision need to be made quicker and with more confidence.

Pros

Cola’s global reputation and iconic brand provide opportunities to work on large-scale, meaningful projects with diverse teams. While management has areas for improvement, the company’s resources, iconic building, and the scale of projects give you experiences that stand out

Cons

While the Coca-Cola workspace and my coworkers were pleasant enough, the management experience was deeply disappointing. I’ve worked at several companies, and I’ve never felt so undervalued in terms of talent recognition and support. Management lacked proper training processes and often treated employees in a way that felt condescending rather than supportive. Overall, it created a daily environment that felt draining, and it’s something I hope Coca-Cola addresses for future talent
