Pros
- There are some good people at the company. - Global brands - Exposure to working with people in other countries. - Lots of opportunity, if you are willing to move - Good compensation structure, pension, 401K - Strong ethical culture - They have formal flexible work arrangement programs
Cons
- They lack a long term strategy beyond laying people off. I worked there 6 years and saw at least one to two mass layoffs per year, including some very good people. I was not laid off, but would probably have been if I had stayed. - It is impossible to move up in the company if you don't want to move to Atlanta. - It is difficult to get anything done because there are so many layers of process/approvals - A lot of silos and multiple groups doing the same thing - Some managers won't let you take advantage of the flexible work arrangement programs. - No lactation program, no child care discounts, not on the "Great Places to Work", or "Best Companies for Working Moms", or any of those other lists. - Very tight with money, no holiday parties or anything. - There is no formal career coaching program.
