Pros

I truly cannot think of one genuine pro of working here. This is a fake company - stay away at all costs.

Cons

Your experience at this firm is pretty dependent on the team that you are staffed on (which, I should mention, you have absolutely no say in the staffing process. It is incredibly arbitrary and there is absolutely no visibility into how this process is done by upper management). There are a couple teams that are notorious for fostering an incredibly toxic, horrific culture that is centered around one thing: fear. One partner, in particular, has crafted this pervasive culture of fear and anxiety on their team, with the wicked intention that this will get people to do their work better. What an abysmal leadership strategy - I actually do not understand how this person still has their job. They are the epitome of an ineffective and incapable leader - this is quite literally the worst way to foster productivity and morale. I, along other coworkers, were struggling with health issues (e.g., hair and weight loss) as a result of the incessant anxiety that we had on a daily basis working here. That said, please avoid this company at all costs. It is not worth the time, energy, nor the anxiety that comes with waking up and doing this job. It is tragic that companies like TDG are allowed to exist, especially for those who work here as their first job out of school - this is not how a real work experience should be. They hire from top schools just to say to their clients that they have top talent, then proceed to overwork them to a point that they quit or get fired (literally just go on LinkedIn and see for yourself how HIGH the turnover is here. Red. Flag.). Also, this company is fully remote - something that we were not told until day 1 of starting the job. An additional red flag: why tell your future employees that this will be a hybrid workplace once the hiring process is complete, have them all move to New York City - which, as we know, is so expensive - and then tell them - "Oh, BTW, our company is fully remote!" - on the first day? Another example of how there is no transparency. The lack of an in-person culture makes it especially difficult to grow professionally, particularly as a fresh grad coming in as an analyst. The work they make analysts do (which they don't tell you when you initially start - a third example of how there is no transparency at this firm) is recruitment. They will make you spend an egregious amount of time sourcing emails and LinkedIn profiles of potential stakeholders to speak to in expert interviews, and you will have to spam them with messages on a regular basis. I remember staying up incredibly late at night doing this, stressed out of my mind I wouldn't meet the quota of contacts to source, when I could've been learning and doing actual consulting work. Your performance will literally be based off of how many emails you can source, and they will gaslight you into thinking that you are doing your job poorly if you do not source enough emails. They will quite literally yell at you over a Teams call (emphasis on the no camera on) that you haven't sourced enough emails and are not meeting expectations. Pathetic. Just admit you don't have enough capital to outsource recruitment like a normal consulting firm does. Lastly (but not least, as I could go on and on), they will sometimes fabricate data for their client deliverables if the numbers don't "look right" based on metrics from prior similar projects. The amount of times I have witnessed this occurring in real time blows my mind. Managers will change the data directly on the Excel file. How is that even legal?! This is not a legit company - PLEASE do not apply to work here, and to prospective clients, do not hire them!

Pros

Great exposure to variety of work subject matter, clients, strategy projects and leadership within project work after longer tenure. Good environment with smart motivated colleagues

Cons

Project experience varies with middle manager that you get staffed with, as some are fantastic, have great social/managing skills and enough experience to mentor or collab productively on slides/insights. Some simply don't.

Pros

Great client work and exposure to market access landscape, will set you up for great exits long term. Internal growth opps aplenty, but do require being strategic with projects/teammates you get placed on. ~2-3 projects at a time. Projects are mostly well paced, spread out, manageable 75% of the year.

Cons

Highly demanding work in fourth quarter, >70 hour weeks with >3 projects all asking for bandwidth. Can feel like a collegiate environment because everyone is similar in age which is great but... seniority presence feels like its missing.
