Pros
- Great people & culture I have nothing but great things to say about my colleagues during my tenure at TDG. Projects are tackled by teams of between 2-4 employees, and having the chance to sit in rooms and brainstorm questions was honestly a tremendous privilege for me. Everyone at TDG is happy to help with a dataset or a presentation they'd done - it's a very positive culture where the rising tide raises all ships. - Very interesting work / consistently challenging projects If you are at all interested in specialty therapeutics and/or oncology therapeutics, TDG is a great option. Given that there are so many different steps to securing market access, I found that the job was never stale as there was always something to learn & better understand. - Approachable & very reasonable management From day one for me, I found the leadership of TDG to be hugely receptive to my preferences / considerations. During my tenure, I encountered certain challenges in my personal life, and TDG worked with me to ensure there was adequate flexibility to address everything. I am hugely grateful for this position from management and I believe it is a testament to their willingness to listen and work with their employees to ensure a good work / life balance is preserved. - Ample opportunity for rapid growth / valued interactions with clients In my experience, TDG is rare among comparable firms insofar as management keenly emphasizes meritocracy. Because projects are worked on closely with partners, there is leadership insight into team member performance. If one is dedicated to the job and excels, this will be recognized.
Cons
Consulting is difficult - many of the poor reviews reek of sour grapes. It is a challenging field of work, but if you are up for it and dedicate yourself to the job then it is hugely rewarding.
