Pros

The Dedham Group is a collaborative atmosphere where you will be exposed to brilliant and hard-working peers and learn directly from the partners who are experts in the field. Because we are a small (but growing!) company, your performance and personal growth is extremely visible and rewards are entirely meritocracy based with custom feedback on your strengths and weaknesses that are truly actionable upon your next review cycle. Projects are intellectually stimulating, with exposure to top pharmaceutical companies and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge products (CAR-T, gene therapy, novel MOA launches, etc.) and emerging themes in life sciences (value based care, pathways, pricing scrutiny, etc.). Even at the analyst level, you will have exposure to client management with top executives. At The Dedham Group, you will have the rare opportunity to "specialize" in a particular project area in which you have built expertise, yet due to the breadth of our projects, you will also always have exposure to new therapeutic areas or project types which leads to limited "boredom". Because of the density of our projects, you are always learning something new. The experience you gain in 1-2 years here is immeasurable and will undoubtedly prepare you for your next steps in a life sciences career. You will also make great network connections through our clients as well as lifelong friends through your coworkers.

Cons

Limited company awareness (your peers outside of life sciences will probably have never heard of TDG) & extremely high standards which can result in stress during final deliverable development.

Pros

Great exposure to variety of work subject matter, clients, strategy projects and leadership within project work after longer tenure. Good environment with smart motivated colleagues

Cons

Project experience varies with middle manager that you get staffed with, as some are fantastic, have great social/managing skills and enough experience to mentor or collab productively on slides/insights. Some simply don't.

Pros

Great client work and exposure to market access landscape, will set you up for great exits long term. Internal growth opps aplenty, but do require being strategic with projects/teammates you get placed on. ~2-3 projects at a time. Projects are mostly well paced, spread out, manageable 75% of the year.

Cons

Highly demanding work in fourth quarter, >70 hour weeks with >3 projects all asking for bandwidth. Can feel like a collegiate environment because everyone is similar in age which is great but... seniority presence feels like its missing.
