Pros

Supportive environment with agency financial stability. Opportunities for internal promotions and an agency committed to staff development and growth. Excellent benefits and competitive salary.

Cons

Staff turnover is often high. Productivity expectations are high and unrealistic. Secondary traumatic stress is inevitable. Also a Union work environment.

Thank you for this feedback. As the review indicates, TGC is a learning organization. As such, we often hire new graduates and help them to obtain their full licensure free of charge while working with us. Sadly, that also comes with a corresponding negative effect at times - staff turnover. It is not unusual for staff to obtain full licensure through our support, training and supervision only to have them explore roles in other industries that they had been ineligible for with a limited license. Even realizing the potential exists for staff to leave with a full license, we remain committed to supporting this process. Many of our leaders are staff who started with us as a limited license professional and have been promoted. We also work hard as an agency to utilize all of the data obtained through exit interviews and on-going staff feedback to continually improve our agency. TGC has some of the best employees in the industry.
