Pros
Possible remote schedule. Good PTO
Cons
Reported to 4 different directors in the previous 12 months. Constant re-organization of staffing but no real changes to how business is done. Poor communication is a constant issue - from management to employees and across teams. Upper management is stretching staffing resources very thin so it takes months to replace an employee that leaves - you are left with the burden of their work. Working overtime is an expectation 6 months out of the year. They will never be properly staffed because of a broken staffing model and a refusal to see the writing on the wall. Employee moral is at an all time low. Company culture varies wildly by department and office. Survey results are not taken seriously and are given back to employees to find solutions to low scores. There is a lack of innovation at the Hartford - internal red tape keeps anyone from implementing an idea to fix problem. Decisions take too long to be made - a problem we have had for years. No longer a pay for performance environment. Career progression is a single track with limited opportunities and if you are in a remote/satellite office you are handicapped. Budget concerns are limiting employee reward and recognition.
