Pros

employees are always willing to go the extra mile

Cons

The Hartford just announced their 'Return to Office' Policy. This policy mandates, across the Enterprise, that any employee within 25 miles (of one of 7 offices) must return to that office on T, W, Th with no exceptions. In addition, they are using the 'straight line' method when calculating that 25 miles (in other words, as the crow flies) which is absolutely ridiculous. Last time I checked, I or my many affected co-workers aren't crows. They are not taking into consideration any of its long term remote employees either. Many employees have been classified as remote for many, many years. This DOES NOT matter to the Senior Leaders that made this decision. Many newer employees also accepted their jobs at HIG because of the remote work opportunities. Lots of talented employees will be looking for other work, and rightly so. The Hartford used to care about its employees; not any longer.
