Pros
I loved my coworkers and loved my superviser! It might just be the folks drawn to social change/election work, but I connected more with my coworkers here (even as a remote employee) than at any other job. I loved my supervisor (Peggy) who works 24/7 and did equivalent of like 7 jobs while also being a supportive and empathetic boss. I learned so much from the Racial Justice and white working group meetings, and everyone felt so strongly that these meetings were non-negotiable (not the same at my future jobs to say the least).
Cons
LONG work hours, and a very common expectation to work outside of those work hours. This job handled it a bit better (supervisors and coworkers were much more cognisant of this) than other election jobs, so I've heard. But still obscene how much work election employees are expected to do outside of their contracted hours.
