Pros

I haven't thought about The RealReal (negative or positive) I left for financial reasons and there was no bad blood (at least on my end) at all. But now after passing through a couple gigs since, I realized how freaking AMAZING their HR team was and felt compelled to write a review. Straight up the BEST I've ever experienced. Patrick Tracey and crew (blonde girl with glasses, and tall guy...Mark?---so sorry can't remember your names!) were just so freaking awesome. I always felt safe while working at this job and realized the HR team was a big reason why. Unfortunately, I worked a job where HR was almost non- existent and it was so easy to be straight up abused in the brand new fresh company. I was grabbed and cornered in conference rooms by a superior, he wanted to feel larger then he actually was, and knew he could get away with it because he, quote "was HR". I had had to leave my job, with a awful taste in my mouth. First time leaving a job upset. No fun. THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED AT THE REALREAL. I hope the higher ups know what an amazing team they have in their HR team. They were always smiling, singing my name, and created an awesome environment to work in. I'm working an awesome gig as of now, but still, the HR team still isn't as special as The RealReal's. (just keepin' it real, real). If any of the HR team is up for a pay raise, give it to them. It's much deserved. If an ex-employee who hasn't worked there in over a year is writing a review like this, it has to be true.

Cons

None to share because this review is based on an experience with a different department. I didn't come here to bash! But the star ratings below will be rated on my photo editing experience.

Pros

Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

Cons

Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
