Pros

-If you're interested in fashion, there are a lot of fun products to look at. -Free food; I saved so much on groceries while working here -It's a big company, so you're bound to make at least a few friends that you enjoy spending time with -Good for people who are individual workers and like alone time -Lots of opportunities for overtime if you need extra money, overtime doesn't need to be approved -HR department was good -Good insurance

Cons

-Many people were very snobby and there was a huge divide between the operations teams and the higher up departments. Some of the employees here make you feel like you're trash. -It's a start up, so everything can be disorganized. There isn't a ton of communication between departments, so your boss's boss probably has no idea of what's actually going on in your department or how to run it. -Lots of mandatory overtime -There is often visible tension between employees and their managers. -Quotas make you feel like meaningful work doesn't matter, just the numbers. -HUGE pay gap between executives and lower down employees -Shady safety standards. Once there was a gas leak and the management wouldn't let us leave work even though it was a safety hazard.

Pros

Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

Cons

Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
