Pros

Nothing positive say. I was sooooo happy and relieved to leave.

Cons

I have PTSD from working in their Customer Support team. I had anxiety, anger and was so stressed the entire time. The worst customers EVER and managers encourage their behavior by giving them whatever they want to make them happy. All the Executives are snobby and could care less about the little people in the company. No thank yous, never check in to see how the team is. They have their fat paychecks and that’s all that matters. They cover up problems within the company. The “authenticators” are a joke. Save yourself and run! Like far away.

Pros

The RealReal gave me valuable opportunities for professional growth. I was promoted several times, which helped me develop my leadership, communication, training, quality control, and operations experience. I worked with many great employees and had the opportunity to support different departments, create training materials, improve processes, and take on additional responsibilities. The experience helped prepare me for the next stage of my career.

Cons

My experience with senior leadership, particularly at the director level, was one of the most difficult parts of working there. I did not always feel respected, supported, or treated fairly. Some interactions felt personal rather than professional, and I did not always feel comfortable raising concerns. The workload and expectations placed on my position were also difficult to sustain. I regularly supported multiple departments and handled responsibilities beyond the normal scope of one role. After I left the position, the company hired both a supervisor and an assistant manager to cover the work I had been handling. In my opinion, this showed that the position needed more leadership support and that the workload had been too much for one person. Work-life balance was challenging because of the heavy workload, constant operational changes, and pressure to support multiple areas. It was often difficult to disconnect from work. More consistent communication, recognition, accountability, and support from senior leadership would have improved the overall employee experience.
