Pros

Some consignors are really fun! It is also fun to be with the product and see beautiful handbags and jewelry. Great Salesforce experience.

Cons

I was with TRR for almost four years, pre and post IPO. Pre-IPO the company was so fun and had a great startup, hustle, scrappy, get-it-done mentality. Post IPO everything went downhill. The word micromanagement doesn't even begin to cover it. Quite frankly, TRR does not value people - consignors or team members. Sales team members are treated like a machine and expected to perform like one. Your quota and shipped units are the only thing that matters. The only thing TRR is looking out for is the bottom line. Don't expect a culture of work / life balance or creativity, sharing, growth, or building people up. The Concierge team positions are a complete dead end. I asked my managers multiple times for introductions across different channels to help me move up or even laterally within the company and was told to "look on the internal job listings board." Some team members and managers cheat the system to inflate numbers. It does not matter if you are a people person, have great client facing skills, or even have a knowledge or background in fashion. They will absolutely hire you if you have Salesforce experience and will cold call though. That's truly all this job is now. Mid-level management are robots. They impact zero change. The regional directors do impact some, whether good or bad. There are some bad eggs in very high leadership positions which trickles down and really speaks to the toxic culture. Most importantly, it's nearly impossible to make your monthly quota to make any commission. You work sun up to sun down to ship units, (in my case driving across an entire state) and even if you ship over 100% to the units quota, it is unlikely you will make your points quota. The company does not emphasize (or even train that well in onboarding) that this metric is the higher commission payout for reps because the velocity of items selling on the site is what they care about most. High value items take time with consignors and take longer to sell on the site. TRR does not care about building relationships with consignors to acquire high value pieces. They frankly don't have time.

Pros

- Great coworkers - Handle fun products - Front line works their tails off

Cons

- Senior Leaders (some Sr. Mgrs, mainly Directors and up) really don't do much but sit in meetings and blame their teams for their leadership deficiencies. Not to mention they love to never be in office but can't wait to tell you why you should be there. - Changes are constant: Quality Standards, SOPs, Order of Ops, CRM - With little to no training or guidance. The 3 auth centers operate "the same" but really there are drastic process differences in each along with leadership. - Leaders do anything to deflect blame and responsibility. The front lines are worked to exhaustion with unrealistic goals (if TRR was serious about their standards and what they offer).. Rather, people process at lightning speeds just to fill the warehouse with garbage. - Sr leaders of Operations quell issues and disguise problems to C Suite - Toxicity within leadership, everyone is playing defense which does not help solving problems. - No feedback is taken, ideas are shot down. - Vacations/breaks dont exist if you are a leader. No respect for time off. - Churn and churn. Front line staffing is a revolving door.
