      Pros

      The company is growing rapidly, and you can see the vision the exec team has to take it to a very successful level in a short period of time. Everyone contributes to the success and can feel the processes and culture getting better every day. The company is filled with talented people, solving problems and building infrastructure that will allow The RealReal to be an industry leader for years to come. The exec team is clearly more seasoned and experience than other Silicon Valley start ups, that can occasionally get lost in the dream. Here, senior management is hyper focused on real tangible results and how that builds a successful and sustainable business. Work life balance is good.... it is a startup, so you get out of the experience what you put in. No one is hanging over anyone telling them to open up their computer on a weekend, but there is plenty of work to do based on your level of dedication or the balance you are looking for.

      Cons

      The company is growing very rapidly, and that of course can lead to growing pains. Many of the managers work hard to alleviate these growing pains every day, and over time the processes will get better. Senior employees can be spread between many locations and markets, and the company needs to continue to build communication platforms that allow for them to feel as though they are part of the big picture.

      Overall, the receiving team is very sweet and engaging. They try to help you when you need it or ask for it.

      When you don't reach your goal, they do get on you/

      Pros

      Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

      Cons

      Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
