Pros
Very structured corporate office that provides a lot of on-site assistance. Full time management positions offer paid traveling for training conferences. Large budget for on-site transitional improvements.
Cons
Minimal to no growth opportunities to higher level on-site positions or corporate level positions. Large turnover with on-site staff due to little value from NOM in her employees. Difficult, unresponsive regional management that often makes staff feel disrespected and small. Difficult to reach HR department with long response times or no responses at all. Demanding work weeks (7 day work weeks for management) and no additional pay or bonuses- it is an expectation. Little understanding of on-site employees wishing to have a life/time away from work. Decent but not exceptional pay in comparison with industry averages. I would not recommend Scion and am actively searching for a new job with a different student housing company.
