Pros

Pro’s about this position is that you get to live in one of the best cities in the world: Chicago, IL.

Cons

The Sales Managers will sell you on there being “growth” opportunity; however, being a sales specialist working on the 24th floor, we aren’t recognized as a department within The Scion Group corporate office. Those in suite 2600 & suite 2800 (other floors operated by Scion) do not respect you or see you as an equal corporate employee. They turned the entire floor into a call center which is what the position was never sought to be. There’s no minimum or maximum pay for Sales Specialist built out currently. You have people making as low as 30K & 45K, then those making 50-55. If you’re special enough they may grant you 65K or 67K, or 70K (not promised, they’ll low ball you). Inflation as went up 8% and they haven’t given any sort of compensation to their employees, at least those who actually put in the work to keep this company afloat. Last piece I’ll give you is that they have no employee retention plan. This is a burn and turn position, they do not care about you, yet the company is facing a 67% turnover rate. We can barely hire people as it is because they want you in Chicago. They do not offer remote or hybrid options.

Employee friendly, personable management, tons of opportunities for growth, financially stable private company, extremely knowledgeable management and employees, understanding of life happening.

Cons

Prefer in office rather than hybrid or remote, benefits tiered more to young single employees than for experienced or longer career employees.
