Pros

There are lots of opportunities for travel. Paid holidays, and good PTO structure.

Cons

Management can be overly aggressive, which breeds unhealthy relationships internally. Most managers lack formal management training. Limited opportunities for growth. Entry level staff turnover is high because they work them into the ground.

Thank you for this transparency and feedback. This must have been a difficult review to write considering you were part of the team for 5 years. We are working hard to implement and roll-out train the manager programs and believe our new performance management system using SMART goals and defined OKR's will be a great step in the right direction. While no company is perfect, we're certainly working hard to keep the lines of communication open and we want to hear your feedback! You can't improve if you don't know what you're doing wrong...thank you!

Pros

Remote work, revised PTO and benefits recently.

Cons

The Vertex Companies talks a lot about performance-based pay, but the follow-through isn’t there. I exceeded expectations, had strong client relationships, and solid support from leadership—yet the merit increase felt like a slap in the face. When you’re told compensation is tied to performance but see little difference between average and high performers, it raises real concerns about how employees are valued. The company appears far more focused on protecting margins and pleasing shareholders than rewarding the people driving the work. It’s disappointing, because strong performance should be recognized in a meaningful way—not minimized.
