Pros

- Generous retirement compensation with 6% 401k match and 5% cash pension. - stable company to work at (at least for the next decade or so)

Cons

- engineering environment was fun and fast paced to work in for the first few years of the digital transformation, but has slowly morphed back into corporate bureaucracy. - leadership is ran by former consultants with little expertise in scaling digital products. You’re trusting folks who have made a career out of selling ideas rather than actually building something - performance system encourages toxic stack ranking bell curve. You can have a great year, and then suddenly a bad one. there will be pressure to review someone as needing improvement — because the corporation said so — so you have managers constructing critical reviews out of nowhere. PIP plans get dished out — digital practice does a poor job at disclosing its faith based operations to new hires during interviews. Some people get mislead into working for them without knowing this. - unclear what their long term strategy is. Their revenue relies on an older demographic with lots of assets invested in the company. Time will tell what happens when there is churn.
